checking in

I am not sure if it was a more of tip of the hat, a friendly nonverbal way to say hello, or just a peek under the hood to assess for functioning.  Maybe a little bit of both.  But I had a chance (30 degrees, no wind) to take a look inside my two hives.

I wore my veil.  And my mittens, tucked into my parka.

They're alive!

Eating candy and high.  With months until the first pollen is forageable. But still, alive.
